Before I'd even begun the process of making this cocktail, I knew I was on to a winner. All four of the products featured here would make it into my all-time favourite top 30 bath products from Lush - each of them offering something beautiful and unique, yet something that compliments every one of the other ingredients featured in this mighty cocktail.
For this recipe, I started by crumbling half of a Ma Bar under the running water and relishing in the amount of light, fluffy, fragrant bubbles that it produced. Unfortunately for this bubble bar, the colour doesn't lend itself well in the tub and it produced a rather murky-looking sea of brown. However, I forgave it on the basis of how soft and moisturising it is and wonderful your skin feels after bathing in its water.
Up next I crumbled half of a Yuzu & Cocoa Bubbleroon - one of my all-time favourite bath products. This wonderful fruity, coconutty bubble bar immediately got to work at producing another surplus amount of bubbles and strengthening the beautiful aroma that was already coming from the water. This product also helps to lighten the colour of the water and turn it into an almost bronze colour - which is much more appealing.
It was then that I added in an entire You've Been Mangoed Bath Melt. For those looking to conserve their Lush goodies, you could easily halve or third this and it wouldn't affect the overall quality of the bath. This melt helped to add a strong but not overwhelming citrus scent to the experience and produced lots of essential oils to soften and nourish the skin.
Finally, I added in an entire Uluru Bath Bomb (again you could cut this to the size you wish). This helped to alter the colour of the water to a wonderful golden shade and offered an array of oranges, yellows and reds. The fragrant foam spread out across the surface of the water and made the whole tub look like a sunset in motion - helping to make it that little bit more appealing alongside the fluffy bubbles that still rested around the outside of the tub.
While all four products can be detected at different stages throughout the bath, it is the You've Been Mangoed that makes the biggest impression. This and the Yuzu & Cocoa come forward a lot more when you're submerged underneath the water and they both compliment each other perfectly.
This is a cocktail for those who want something fresh and fruity but equally comforting at the same time. For this reason, it is a perfect spring cocktail as the fragrances make it very light and zesty, yet the inclusion of two bubble bars makes it really moisturising and comforting as well.
This is definitely one that I will try out again - especially when I want something moisturising yet uplifting and refreshing in the warmer weather. A real winner of a cocktail.
