Yeah, I tend to avoid buying the gift sets because every time I unpack them I am so disappointed with how dingy and banged up the items look! The outer wrapping is always so pretty, but I'd rather pick out the best looking ones in shop and make my own gift
The majority of the items wouldn't be expired yet (eg. soap is pretty preserving), but the gift set did come out in 2011 & Jen said in her video that she bought it from someone, not actually buying it from Lush
