Cookie Dough Lip Scrub

I haven't met a single person who doesn't love the idea of eating cookie dough, and to be honest I couldn't imagine getting on with anybody who disliked it enough so say so. While my sweet tooth is usually satisfied with the daily protein shakes I fuel my body with, finding my willpower to not eat an entire raw batch is harder than squatting my body weight at the gym.

For this reason, I wasn't at all surprised when the Lush community went a little crazy over the Cookie Dough Lip Scrub, when it first made an appearance in the Liverpool Store. I can't deny that I wasn't at least a little intrigued myself to see how close the smell and taste replicated actual cookie dough. Strangely, I found that the fragrance didn't remind me of the sweet treat at all, but that's not to say that it wasn't delicious.

As with every one of Lush's lip scrubs, the key ingredient is caster sugar: a natural exfoliant that not only removes dead skin and debris from the lips, but helps to make the process a little more tasty and enjoyable. Along with a few essential oils, this little scrub will hydrate, soften and plump out your lips, with regular use, and leave them noticeably smoother and healthier.

Alongside the sugar, Cookie Dough contains shea butter, hazelnut oil, vanilla absolute and carob resinoid: a handful of ingredients that go into producing one of the most wonderfully mouth-watering products that the company currently offer. This lip scrub is definitely very dessert-like to my nose, but wouldn't remind me of cookie dough if it hadn't been given that name.

When sniffed up close, there are two prominent notes. Firstly, there's a strong, almost slightly nutty note of the almond oil, which I happen to think is the strongest component of this scrub. Alongside this, there is a sweet and very warming note of vanilla absolute, with just the slightest bitterness of the carob resinoid to finish. 

If I was to compare it to any sort of pudding I've experienced, I would say it is far more in-keeping with the likes of a vanilla and almond sponge; or a bowl of vanilla custard with a cacao and almond sauce over the top. Maybe I've been making my cookie dough a different way all of these years, but none of my batches have ever matched the smell of this lip scrub.

What I will say is that, on the lips, Cookie Dough tastes like a piece of vanilla fudge, and I can see why it would be very easy to eat more than the intended purpose of the product. However, when it comes to the fragrance of the whole scrub, there is something slightly bitter about it that doesn't sit well with me as well as I was expecting it to. Either the hazelnut or the almond oil is a little too strong in the mix, which prevents this scrub from being as yummy as it potentially could have been.

Having said that, Cookie Dough works exactly as you would expect a lip scrub to do, and heeds great results. You simply need to scoop out a tiny amount with your finger - rubbing the scrub all over your lips in a circular motion. The best part is that you then need to use your tongue to lick off the excess sugar, which leaves your lips looking less parched and weathered, and feeling a whole lot better than they did a few seconds beforehand. 


Although this process is completely safe, and the scrub is intended for consumption, I wouldn't suggest that you scoop out masses and eat it by itself (although we've all been tempted!). While a small amount on the lips does taste rather yummy, I can safely say that these scrubs don't work as a replacement for a regular dessert; there is still something 'soapy' about the taste of this, if too much is ingested.

Overall, Cookie Dough Lip Scrub is another great variation from Lush, but one that I wouldn't claim to be my favourite. At the risk of repeating myself, the taste of this is very dessert-like although not at all like the cookie dough I have sampled in my time. As one of these tubs tends to last almost a full year, I don't really have any need to buy another one.

Carrot Cake Lip Scrub

When I was little, carrot cake was my favourite dessert on the entire planet. Every birthday I would request that my parents buy me a pre-made cake to indulge in, and as nobody else in my family liked it, I would eat every single indulgent mouthful for myself - falling into a sugar coma and knowing that if I was to die at that very moment in time, I could live with the gluttony that brought me there.

As I haven't ever found myself in receipt of a vegan carrot cake yet, I haven't had the pleasure of enjoying my favourite cake in almost fourteen years. Therefore, the idea of Lush's Carrot Cake Lip Scrub sounded truly exquisite, and I couldn't wait to slather the product all over my parched lips.

As with all of Lush's lips scrubs, this one is made from a base of caster sugar, which is what gives this limited edition its exfoliating properties, and jojoba oil, which helps to moisturise the skin. As you can see from the ingredients list, there rest of the components reads very much like a cake, and the smell and taste of this seasonal special replicates this sentiment as well.


Containing orange oil, carob resinoid and cinnamon powder, the smell of this lip scrub is a rich, almost maple syrup-like aroma with a gentle note of the orange intertwined with a dry, spicy helping of cinnamon. The carob resinoid brings a delicate hint of chocolate, but it's more like the dry, bitter version as opposed to the creamy chocolate you may be imagining.

On the tongue, Carrot Cake tastes mostly of the orange oil with a delicate lace of cinnamon and carob. Having said that, the carob, or possible the fenugreek, leaves a bitter aftertaste which I didn't particularly appreciate. In fact, this bitterness spoiled my experience with this lip scrub, and I found myself not wanting to lick my lips after using it across my mouth.

Having said that, the product did do a good job at making my lips feel beautifully soft and moisturised, and it also removed the dead and dried skin that has accumulated at the corners of my mouth. My lips felt instantly better after a single use, and after using this for a couple of days in a row, the consistency of my lips improved dramatically.

To make the most of Carrot Cake Lip Scrub, I would recommend that you apply your favourite lip balm afterwards as this will continue to work that moisture into the skin and give you kissably-soft lips. In all honesty, I was rather surprised at how quickly the condition of my lips improved from a product so simple and natural, and I've vowed to continue using this for the foreseeable future.

While this small pot has the hefty price tag of £6.50, I believe that it is fantastic value for money because it can easily last for 6+ months, depending on how often your apply it. I recommend that you try it out for yourself, even if the aftertaste is not particularly desirable. It does it's job well and at least has a wonderful smell to enjoy when you're feeling peckish.

Eve's Cherry Lip Scrub

It's rather ironic that I find it difficult to incorporate lip products into my daily routine, when my lips are one of the main places on my body that I suffer from the most. Out of habit, I tend to find myself picking the skin off of my lips without even realising I am even doing it, until I'm suddenly aware that my lips are sore, dry and bleeding, and once again in need of some serious TLC.

This year alone, Lush have released a brand new lip scrub for every one of their main seasonal collections. Eve's Cherry follows the biblical theme of Adam's Apple Mouthwash Tabs, and offers consumers an absolutely stunning lip scrub that does exactly what you'd want it to do, and more.

As with every one of Lush's lip scrubs, the key ingredient is caster sugar: a natural exfoliant that not only removes dead skin and debris from the lips, but helps to make the process a little more tasty and enjoyable. Along with a few essential oils, this little scrub will hydrate, soften and plump out your lips, with regular use, and leave them noticeably smoother and healthier.

Alongside the sugar, Eve's Cherry contains cherry kernel, buchu oil and lime oil: three ingredients that go into producing the most wonderfully fruity, and downright delicious sugar scrub. There is something so mouthwatering about this aroma, which reminds me very much of old fashioned cherry drop sweets.

Many consumers were wondering whether or not this limited edition was similar in fragrance to the popular Happy Blooming Shower Jelly. While it's understandable that these two products have been compared, as they both offer cherry aromas, I found that this lip scrub wasn't as sickly sweet and was slightly more sugary to my nose.

Fans new to Lush might want to know that to use, you simply need to scoop out a tiny amount with your finger - rubbing the scrub all over your lips in a circular motion. The best part is that you then need to use your tongue to lick off the excess sugar, which leaves your lips looking less parched and weathered, and feeling a whole lot better than they did a few seconds beforehand. 

Although this, as with all of Lush's lip scrubs, is completely edible, and safe to do so, I wouldn't suggest that you scoop out masses and eat it by itself. While a small amount on the lips does taste rather yummy, I can safely say that these scrubs don't work as a replacement for a regular dessert.

Yes, I will say that all of Lush's lip scrubs can be a little messy to begin with, and you do occasionally end up with stray pieces of sugar smeared around your mouth. However, it really isn't that hard to contain to product to one area of the mouth, and after a few attempts you will figure out yourself how to contain the product to your lips.

For £5.95, this might seem like a big investment for such a small tub, but it will last you a very long time, even with daily application. These little tubs can be carried around without any spillages, and are sturdy enough that they can't be smashed whilst in transit.

Overall, Eve's Cherry is yet another yummy edition to Lush's impressive lip scrub collection, and one that I hope makes a reappearance in the future. Paired with Cherryish Body Scrub in the shower beforehand makes for a wonderful treat before bedtime. Just saying.

Cranberry Fizz Lip Scrub

Cranberries have never been something that my family or I have ever indulged in, aside from my mum drinking a glass of the juice every morning when I was much younger. I think the fruit is definitely more of an American Thanksgiving tradition than anything else, as I don't recall ever having cranberry sauce or jelly on any of my meats growing up.

To be honest, I usually find the fragrance of cranberries to be a little too bitter and sour for my liking, so I tend to shy away from any cosmetics that have the fruit at the forefront of their smell. However, I was intrigued and very surprised when I sniffed Cranberry Fizz Lip Scrub for the first time and found myself enjoying the scent rather a lot.

Containing peach kernel, orange and lime oils, it's safe to say that the smell of this lip scrub is gorgeous. It's like a fruity collaboration between the cranberry and the other components, so rather than the bitterness of the cranberries coming through, the orange and peach soften the edge with a syrup-like burst of fruity sweetness. The lime oil then runs through all of this with it's uplifting and slightly zesty appearance.

Although not really something that should be particularly important, the taste of this lip scrub was one of the best I have tasted so far. Many a time I found myself scooping the product right out of the pot and consuming it like it was a dessert. Whereas I would normally detect a very delicate soapy component to the taste of Lush's lip scrubs, I found that this wasn't the case with this one - which could be seen as a good or a bad thing, depending on how much restraint you have when it comes to your sweet-tooth.

To use, I simply scooped out a tiny amount with my finger and then rubbed the scrub all over my lips in a circular motion for about thirty seconds. Then the best part: I used my tongue to lick off the excess sugar from my lips before applying my favourite lip gloss or balm to finish the routine.

With Cranberry Fizz, I found that my lips felt super smooth and soft almost immediately, and they continued to feel this way for a good few hours afterwards. Any dried skin that had been present before using this disappeared, and after trying this across the space of a few days, I found that any signs of chapping disappeared within forty-eight hours.

Ultimately, this little lip scrub is a must have from this year's Christmas range. Although small and possibly something that many consumers will ignore, I highly suggest that you tuck one of these away in your loved one's stocking, so that they can enjoy smooth and soft lips during the more harsher months of the year.

Sugar Plum Naked Lip Scrub

When all three of Lush’s new Naked sugar scrubs arrived in the post, I didn’t really know which one to use first. The designs of all three are simply beautiful to look at, and I had to debate over which one I was going to deface first. Given how pretty this one was - in both colour and fragrance - It wasn’t too much of a difficult choice. 

Sporting a fragrance almost identical to the that of The Comforter range, Sugar Plum Fairy Naked Lip Scrub has a beautiful, sweet berry scent that’ll have you salivating during application, and may even spur you into wanting to nibble it a little at the same time. 

Packed with orange oil to add that fruitiness, and a heap of castor oil to buff away that pesky dry skin, Sugar Plum may not initially convince of its super powers, until you have tried it out for yourself. Alongside both of these components, all three of the seasonal naked scrubs also feature both coconut oil and jojoba oil, which not only keep your lips soft and smooth, but add a little shine that you can wear without applying all balm afterwards.

So what benefits can your reap from using a naked Lip Scrub?

Firstly, the product is much easier to use and less of a hassle to clean up afterwards. Whereas the original lip scrubs would need to be applied with the use of a finger, and you'd often cover yourself in sugar while doing so, these naked versions can be applied in seconds, without the unnecessary mess. Simply massage the block across your lips, applying as much pressure as you want, before either licking away the sugar or rinsing it away with warm water.

Secondly, you can apply more pressure when using these blocks, so you'll find that these naked scrubs are far better at scrubbing away excess skin. Furthermore, you can focus on particular areas of the lips, so if you have a particular stubborn spot, this Scrub will do wonders at removing the dried skin. 

Thirdly, there is less sugar to contend with, when it comes to the naked blocks. The condensed form means that there won't be as much sugar as there once was, but it also means that you can feel how nourished your lips feel after application, and this leaves your lips soft, smooth and plump. With the original lip scrubs, I sometimes found that you'd be massaging your lips for ages, unable to see exactly which areas needed a little extra buffering. Furthermore, there is an extra generous helping of butters and oils in the ingredients list, to make this a far more moisturising experience overall.

What I really appreciated about Sugar Plum Naked Lip Scrub was that, despite its small size and 12g weight, I was able to use the tile time and time again without it shrinking all that much. Although I applied quite a bit of pressure when applying this, after a couple of weeks the block had only the smallest dent in one of its corners. With the amount of product I would ‘lose’ all over myself when using the potted version, it’s safe to say that this one is far less messy and far better value for money. 

Overall, I will continue to use this as it both tastes nice, buffers well and leaves you skin feeling so smooth and even. As someone who suffers a lot from dry skin and cracked lips, this will be travelling with me wherever I go, so I scrub and condition my lips whilst on the move.

Sugar Plum Fairy Naked Lip Tint

As someone who doesn’t wear a lot of make up, and certainly doesn’t know how to apply it at a professional level, Lush’s make up range has never been something I’ve been overly bothered to explore. However, after the company brought out their Bamboozled Lip Stain a few years ago, which completely bowled me over, I have been a little more open to trying some of their newer creations - especially those geared towards the lips.

Sugar Plum Fairy Naked Lip Tint is exactly what it says on the (non-existent) tin. In a bid to eradicate a lot of unnecessary packaging, Lush have started to move away from using tubs and bottles, and have instead opted to release a vast number of products completely naked for this year’s Christmas release.

New to this year, this naked lip tint is simply stunning to look at, and it feels almost criminal using this and watching the design disappear slowly over time. While this particular Lip Tint was available to buy last year, Lush only released it in their usual tubed version, so I was interested to see this differed, and whether or not naked really is better. 

To use this, Lush recommend that you either apply this directly to your lips and then use the movement of your mouth to apply across your whole lips, as you would a lipstick - or you can opt to use a make up brush if you’re worried about more even coverage. I found that applying it directly was far easier and less fiddly then trying to find a brush around my house, and while it took a few seconds to get used to the shape of this, I found it really easy to apply - without accidentally drawing on my face or applying too much.  

What I found most interesting about this berry-coloured tint is that Lush claim that it will give you a rich, purple finish, whereas I thought the colour that appeared and stayed on my lips could be described as more of a raspberry-pink shade. The colour you get is perhaps slightly lighter than the colour of the product itself, but it’s close enough that you don’t have to worry about ending up sporting a different colour.

Made using a base of kalahari melon oil and jojoba oil, this lip tint is super moisturising - perhaps even more so than my beloved Bamboozled. After using Sugar Plum Fairy Naked Lip Scrub Before Hand, my lips felt plump and well-moisturised after applying this, and I couldn’t help but marvel at how wonderfully smooth and supple my lips continued to be throughout the day. I didn’t need to apply any lip balm at all, which was a good thing as the product wouldn’t have stayed on as long as it did, if I’d done so.

What I found was that Sugar Plum Fairy stayed on for a good 3-4 hours before I needed to reapply, and this is more of a personal preference as there was still product left on my lips after this time. What I will say is that this product doesn’t set by itself, so you do need to be aware that if you use this by itself, it will come off when you eat or wipe a finger across your lips. For this reason, I did revert back to appreciating Bamboozled more as this one doesn’t do this.

While it’s not necessarily important for those serious about this Lip tints, but this one offers a beautiful, fruity blackcurrant scent to enjoy before and during application. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to smell this once it’s been applied, so in the great scheme of things, having this pleasant aroma is not particularly conducive to how the product works. 

Overall, I found that the naked tint was equally as easy to apply as the tubed version and offered the same shade of colour, albeit perhaps very slightly lighter. However, this version was far more moisturising and had more of a sheen to it that made my lips appear a little plumper after application. As someone who doesn’t wear anything on my lips most of the time, this minuscule block would probably last me a few years. And even someone using this every day would probably find that they still have a good chunk left twelve months on, so there’s no doubt that this is good value for money. 

While you’d need to take care of how you transport this around, as it can get a little dusty if exposed, and it will leave smudges against the surfaces it rubs shoulders with, Sugar Plum Naked Lip Tint is definitely in the right direction when it comes to the future of cosmetics.

Black Rose Naked Lip Tint

This year, I have decided that I am going to step away from make up and take the more natural approach to my face. While I have never been somebody that has plastered their face with a lot of products anyway, I decided that my skin would be much better off without a permanent mask of various ingredients smudged across it. As I continue my journey into self acceptance, I also need to recognise that no amount of make up will make me feel as beautiful as I will do if I have that inner love in place. This may be a heavy introduction to this review, but there is a reason why I have delved so deeply. 

Back in September of last year, Lush sent me a wonderful package featuring many of the naked lip tints and lip scrubs that were coming out for Halloween and Christmas. As the same time, the Lush Kitchen had recently bombarded us with a tonne of new innovations that I was desperately trying to experience and write about. Then Lush go and release all of their seasonal ranges online, and I found myself with a good 50 products that I needed to test and review. In addition, I spent the first six months of the year travelling full time so didn't have any opportunities to write a single word. This is why, half way through 2018, I have only just finally been able to sit down and complete my review.

Black Rose was one of three brand new naked lip tints to appear across the Halloween and Christmas ranges last year. Sporting a beautiful design, this cute little invention almost looked too good to use. However, it didn't take me long to apply for the first time and wear it on my initial flight to Indonesia at the end of December.

While it looks black from the naked eye, this lip tint is actually more of a dark purple colour - which is a good thing in my eyes as I have rather a pale complexion, and darker colours have never done anything but make my face looked drained and myself look tired, even when I'm not. 

To use this, Lush recommend that you either apply this directly to your lips and then use the movement of your mouth to apply across your whole lips, as you would a lipstick - or you can opt to use a make up brush if you’re worried about more even coverage. I found that applying it directly was far easier and less fiddly then trying to find a brush around my house, and while it took a few seconds to get used to the shape of this, I found it really easy to apply - without accidentally drawing on my face or applying too much.

Furthermore, all of Lush's naked lip tints are rather pigmented in colour, so it only takes a matter of seconds for these beauties to decorate your hands. This wouldn't be such a problem if the product then washed off easily. However, after staining my fingers whilst using Sugar Plum Fairy, I found that it took me almost three days for the colour to completely disappear from my skin.

Made using a base of Kalahari melon oil and jojoba oil, this lip tint is super moisturising - perhaps even more so than my beloved Bamboozled. After using Black Rose Naked Lip Scrub beforehand, my lips felt plump and well-moisturised after applying this, and I couldn’t help but marvel at how wonderfully smooth and supple my lips continued to be throughout the day. I didn’t need to apply any lip balm at all, which was a good thing as the product wouldn’t have stayed on as long as it did, if I’d done so.

As with the other naked lip tints, I found that I could wear this out for a good 4 hours before I felt the need to pop into the bathroom and top up the colour. In this time, the lip tint doesn't fade all that much at all, but reapplying another layer just gives the colour a little extra boost. What I will say is that this product doesn’t set by itself, so you do need to be aware that if you use this by itself, it will come off when you eat or wipe a finger across your lips. Maybe this is something that's expected of a lip tint (I wouldn't have the faintest idea!) but I found this a little annoying, and was constantly aware that I could smudge the colour all over my face or clothes. 

While it’s not necessarily important when it comes to lip tints, but Black Rose also offered a sweet, liquorice scent as well when you're applying the product. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to smell this once it’s been applied, so in the great scheme of things having this pleasant aroma is not particularly conducive to how the product works. However, it's a nice bonus that links it in well with the lip scrub of the same scent.

Overall, I would definitely use this again, and have saved it in my make up bag for those occasions when I feel the need to wear a bold colour. While mine will easily last a good twenty million years because of how little I'll use it, someone who uses this regularly can easily expect a good couple of years worth of usage. The disc barely shrinks after multiple uses, and the colour is so compact that you need very little to begin with. While I wouldn't buy this again, this is only because the one I have will be with me for a very long time.

Black Rose Naked Lip Scrub

Despite it being a regular thing: my lips being chapped, I hardly ever use any of Lush's sugar scrubs to rectify the problem. There's a small part of me that almost forgets that the company even do such a thing, so if i own any they're usually buried away underneath the mountains of other products waiting to be used. 

When I first caught a glimpse of the three new naked lip scrubs for this year's Christmas and Halloween ranges, I was immediately bowled over by how pretty the designs were. Aside from the lack of packaging (hence the 'naked' part), the shape and etched surfaces made these limited editions so much more appealing than the boring tubed varieties.

Yet, my very next thought was: how exactly am I supposed to use this and not completely soil the bag/purse I'm carrying it around in? Ultimately, while I have been using the cardboard boxes that they were delivered in, I've still yet to find a more effective way of carrying these lip scrubs around: they certainly don't travel very well naked.

Having said this, all three variations of this year's naked scrubs are exceptional in what they do, and offer a much better experience than the old-style scrubs.

Firstly, the product is much easier to use and less of a hassle to clean up afterwards. Whereas the original lip scrubs would need to be applied with the use of a finger, and you'd often cover yourself in sugar while doing so, these naked versions can be applied in seconds, without the unnecessary mess. Simply massage the block across your lips, applying as much pressure as you want, before either licking away the sugar or rinsing it away with warm water.

Secondly, you can apply more pressure when using these blocks, so you'll find that these naked scrubs are far better at scrubbing away excess skin. Furthermore, you can focus on particular areas of the lips, so if you have a particular stubborn spot, this scrub will do wonders at removing the dried skin. 

Thirdly, there is less sugar to contend with, when it comes to the naked blocks. The condensed form means that there won't be as much sugar as there once was, but it also means that you can feel how nourished your lips feel after application, and this leaves your lips soft, smooth and plump. With the original lip scrubs, I sometimes found that you'd be massaging your lips for ages, unable to see exactly which areas needed a little extra buffering. Furthermore, there is an extra generous helping of butters and oils in the ingredients list, to make this a far more moisturising experience overall.

Obviously, the fact that these lip scrubs are naked means that there's zero wastage, which makes them much better for the environment. 

What I really liked about Black Rose Naked Lip Scrub was that it was rather robust, and so I found it far easier to buffer away without the fear of it crumbling away. As someone with quite naturally dry skin, I enjoy a coarse scrub to remove excess dried skin and clean out my pores before I moisturise. The strength of this block means that I can apply quite a bit of pressure when I'm scrubbing my lips, without worrying about using too much product, or breaking the lip scrub in the process. Having used this daily, for almost two weeks, I have barely dented the corner of the scrub, and I see this lasting a good 4-5 months before it'll need to be replaced. 

Scentwise, this beauty has a scent that reminds me a little of Yummy Mummy Shower Cream. While not identical at all, the combination of mandarin oils, along with the sultry and quite treacle-esque nature of the charcoal give off a fruity smell that is both as rich and as fruity as the aforementioned aroma.

One thing I will say about the Naked Lip Scrub is that the taste you get when licking your lips clean is definitely not the best flavour that Lush have offered, and I cannot imagine anyone wanting to nibble on this when they get a little peckish (which a lot of Lush fans do.) However, it functions incredibly well as a Lip Scrub and will easily last me another twelve months, before it makes a reappearance and I can buy another one.

Lush Puppy Lip Scrub

While Lush have only had three events to date, it's become a normal affair to look forward to their showcase events. Not only is it a way to connect with the companies, charities, people and places that go into making Lush what they are, it's a great opportunity to get involved with exclusive up-and-coming products before they hit the shops. Unfortunately, there are some products that make an appearance only to disappear into obscurity, for whatever reason the company decide makes it unworthy of a commercial release.

Lush Puppy Lip Scrub is one such example - a brilliant, vibrant sugar scrub that smells like the world's freshest bowl of sorbet. Sharing its scent with the now discontinued Passionfruit Lip Balm, this rare gem smells like a glass of rich, fruity passionfruit juice, with an abundance of sweetness that will have you salivating with each and every use.

Featuring sweet orange oil as the key ingredient, this scrub offers a warming burst of fruity goodness, which is far sweeter and more rounded than I was expecting. I definitely wouldn't describe Lush Puppy as being in any way citrusy or zesty. While I couldn't detect any rose in the overall aroma, I would say that it does bring a gentle syrup-like essence, which is what gives this scrub its passionfruit aroma. Finally, the vanilla adds a subtle, warming layer that again contributes to the overall smell, but doesn't exactly offer up much by itself. 

As with any of Lush's lip scrubs, the basic premise is that these remove excess skin or dry patches on your lips, and leave them super smooth and kissably soft. To use, simply scoop a little out with your finger and massage the product across your lips, in a circular motion. You can apply as much or as little pressure as you like, before either licking your lips of patting them dry with a damp cotton pad. You can then follow this up with a lip balm, lip stick etc...

The inclusion of the sugar and the carefully selected oils means that this product can be ingested. This means that you can apply this while you're out and about, and you don't have to worry about carrying tissues with you to clean up afterwards. You'll find that Lush Puppy has a very subtle fruity taste, which definitely made the whole experience more pleasant, and perhaps made me eat slightly more than is recommended in a single use.

Afterwards, I found that my lips were really soft, and the dry skin had all but disappeared. My lips also appeared to feel and look slightly plumper, which was a welcome reward, and a great boost before heading out for the night. Moreover, once I had applied my lip balm after, I discovered that my lips stayed feeling and looking refreshed for the rest day and into the next. For those who have quite parched lips, I would suggest that you should use this once in the morning and again, just before bed, to heed great results within a day or two. For those who just want softer lips, a few times a week would be more than enough to achieve this. 


My only grouch with Lush Puppy, as is with every other lip scrub, is that things can get a little messy when applying the product. Despite my best intentions, I always find that I get sugar on the clothes I'm wearing, and scattered across various crevices in my face as well. Maybe it's just my inability to use this product correctly that heeds these problems, but I feel I should still warn you that things can get a little messy at times. 

Overall, this is a wonderful addition to Lush's lip scrub collection, and it's a shame that the company haven't yet made it into a commercial release. I would definitely like to see it released at some point in the near future, and I hope other products in the same fragrance make it into the range at some point as well.
