Super Milk Conditioning Spray

I cannot remember a time when my hair has ever felt truly nourished, at least not for more than a day or two, and never without the aid of a product to make it so. No matter how much was I drink or how well I look after my hair, the ends always feel like a bird's nest and the rest of my locks could cut through skin it's so rough. With the recent collection of new Lush hair products however, I finally feel as if I'm getting somewhere...

Super Milk Conditioning Spray is one of Lush's most recent inventions: a combination of ingredients that promise to not only add some much-needed moisture into your locks, but also help to protect the hair against breakage; add strength and shine; and even offer a barrier against heat of both a hairdryer and straighteners.

Priced up at £15, there are three main ingredients at work here: almond milk, coconut milk and oat milk. These three essential components all work on improving the condition of your hair in their own unique way. Coconut milk is a wonderfully rich and rather fatty ingredient that helps to nourish and replenish dry hair, while the inclusion of both the almond and oat milks help to hydrate the hair and bring the life back into weak and damaged locks.

Alongside these three main components, the inclusion of both the lemon and olive oil adds a natural shine to the hair, while the litsea, tonka and vanilla absolutes give Super Milk its wonderful fragrance. At first, I was quick to assume that this Liverpool exclusive shared its scent with Avocado Cowash. However, it didn't take me long to decide that the fragrance here is far more complex and wholesome than I initially thought. While it is incredibly similar in many ways, I would be selling it short if I just claimed that the spray offered an identical smell.

To my nose, the litsea, tonka and vanilla absolutes dance together perfectly to produce a super sweet, thick and creamy fruity smell. The inclusion of the three nut milks only intensifies the scent and gives it a fluffy, nutty twist. As if this wasn't enough, there is something here that also gives off a sweet, resinous aroma that almost has a burnt caramel note. Ultimately, it is a truly gorgeous scent and one that I'm glad I get to use on my hair regularly.

What makes Super Milk so successful is all down to two ingredients: the inclusion of ethyl macadamiate, which works like a silicone (without actually being a silicone!) and protects the hair from heat and damage by coating each individual strand. Alongside this, both behentrimonium and Cetrimonium Chlorides work on conditioning the hair and leaving it feeling beautiful afterwards.

To use Super Milk, the idea is that you spray directly onto your hair after washing it in the shower and it works its magic as a leave-in conditioner. Interestingly, Lush don't specify that you should towel dry your hair beforehand so I tend to apply it straight after I've wrung out any excess water. My experience has shown that the product works really well in this manner, perhaps even more so than when my hair has been towel dried a little more.

In the bottle, the conditioning spray is rather thick and acts like a bowl of custard that's been left to cool down. Yet, it comes out of the bottle as quite a thin, milky spray, which tells me that the product is super condensed and that not very much is needed with each use. In fact, my hair is currently about 5cm past shoulder length and I find that five sprays is suffice to do the job.

Once my hair has dried, I can noticeably see and feel how soft and shiny my locks look. Without needing to brush my hair, I notice that I can run my fingers through my locks without coming across many tangles at all, and it gives my hair a great shape that I can wear down without using any other products alongside it.

As if the spray hasn't done enough already, I was also really impressed that the fragrance remained on my locks for many hours after initial application. This felt particularly amazing when it was super sunny one day and I could hear members of the public commenting on a 'stunning smell' that was lingering around the bus. I was really tempted to turn around and gush about the wonderful product that is Super Milk.

As you can imagine from my glowing review, this is definitely a hair product that I will be using regularly, and despite its size I can really imagine that my tiny little 100g bottle will last a long time. Super Milk Conditioning Spray smells absolutely delicious and works wonders at softening and hydrating your hair, with minimal effort. I would definitely recommend that you try this out for yourself.

Winter's Night Bauble Bath Melt

I'm somebody who absolutely flourishes in the warmer weather and couldn't ever imagine complaining about it being too hot on any occasion. My moods are far more balanced and uplifted during the summer; my creativity is out in full force; and I just feel far more contented with myself and my surroundings when the sun is beating down.

However, that doesn't mean for one second that I don't enjoy the polar opposite: huddled in front of an open fire trying to keep warm; wearing fifty layers just to feel my toes; and settling down every evening with a warm mug of hot chocolate. While my life perhaps isn't that poetic, these sorts of conditions are equally romantic in my mind.

For this reason, I absolutely loved the design of Winter's Night Bauble Bath Melt: one of four limited edition seasonal releases that appeared during the month of December 2018. Modelled on a Christmas decoration, the idea with this extra large bath melt is that it doubles up as a hanging feature when it's not being used. These looked rather stunning when hung from the branches of a Christmas tree, and only served to fill the room with a wonderful scent to boot.

Winter's Night was one of four bauble bath melts to appear online last year and featured a simplistic but equally detailed scene of the night sky with a couple of trees ladened with snow. While not perhaps as beautiful as some of the square tablets that were released around this time, this one was still a lovely little surprise and perhaps offered from the best fragrances from the bunch.

Sharing its scent with the Furze range, this bauble is both warming and creamy, which is perfect to indulge in when you need a little something to bring some life back into your winter-kissed skin. Featuring mimosa absolute as one of the key ingredients, this bauble bath melt has a hazy and very milky floral element to it - a discordance that hits you the minute you place the bath melt into the warm water. The scent has an almost creamy, powdery scent to it, yet there is something very floral about it as well.

Alongside this, there is also a very strong thread of both coconut and vanilla, which gives Winter's Night a sickly sweet element to it as well. The coconut was definitely very prevalent in this fragrance and I really appreciated the almost nutty component that you could smell on your skin after you exited the bath.

With a circumference roughly 7cm wide and with a thickness a little under a centimetre, this is definitely one of the biggest bath melts that Lush have ever unleashed into the world. While it is definitely a very intense experience to put the whole thing into the tub at once, I would suggest that you cut this into three or four pieces, as that would make it much better value for money.

You certainly don't need to use the entire melt in one go and it would be far less messy breaking off pieces whilst its dry than hanging or storing the tablet once it's already been in the water. As the etching on the front of the melt dissolves first in the water, there is nothing particularly pretty about hanging a blob of pale pink butters around your room afterwards. For this reason, dividing this into four pieces would be a much better and slightly less messier way of enjoying this bauble.

Once in the water, Winter's Night rests on the surface and slowly ebbs streams of dark purple under and across the surface. These oils and butters tend to linger around the product at first so you have to swish it around with the piece of string to help it dissolve across the whole tub. After using half of one of these baubles, I found that the water turned a dark shade of purple, which reminded me very much of the colour of a dark winter's night.

What I will say is that I could definitely detect a change in the consistency of the water and I found that my skin felt smoother and softer within minutes. After towelling myself down, I could really notice how nourished my skin looked and felt and this is something that I felt was perhaps intensified somewhat because of the size of the bath melt I was using.

Another great point about Winter's Night was the fact that the fragrance stayed with me throughout my entire bath and I was able to smell gentle remnants of it on my skin afterwards as well. While these lingering notes were fairly subtle, it was still a lovely way to send myself off to bed, and I truly believe that the mimosa helped me to get a better night sleep than I have done in a while.

Unfortunately, out of all of the baubles that Lush offered last Christmas, this one seemed to age the quickest and so my other half had already turned a murky brown by the time I went to use it only a month later. Having said that, it still offered the same level of scent and moisture in the bath tub, and yet again gave me another wonderful night sleep off of the back of using one of these.

For this reason, I would definitely purchase one of these, if Lush ever choose to bring them back for sale. In fact, Winter's Night actually rekindled my appreciation for this fragrance a little more and I went straight out and purchased a tub of Salted Coconut Hand Scrub after bathing with the bauble for the first time.

Strawberries & Clean Toothpaste Jelly

It is my belief that adults are simply children in bigger bodies, carrying around many more responsibilities and merely pretending we have a clue about what's going on in the world. I don't for one second think that any of us truly 'grow up, and neither do I believe that many of us really want to anyway. So products such as this latest toothpaste jelly will always appeal to the children inside of us, and Lush know this only too well.

One of ten brand new innovative toothpaste jellies that Lush have recently created, Strawberries & Clean is for those with a super sweet tooth. If, like myself, you're fairly well versed in the impressive array of different flavours featured in Lush's oral range, you'll find the transition into using this one fairly straight forward. However, if you're someone who has been instilled with the idea that a tooth paste needs to be mint-flavoured, you may find using this one a bit of a shock.

What I first loved about Strawberries & Clean is that this is one of only two translucent variations, and seems to be the only toothpaste jelly that features a little lustre in the product design. With its playful shade of red, this toothpaste jelly really replicates that of a gummy sweet, which only makes the experience even yummier in your mouth. Please don't be put off by the lustre however, there won't be any evidence left of this inside of your mouth afterwards.

Containing vanilla, lime, jasmine and rosewood oils, this jelly has a bright, fruity and very playful fragrance. The inclusion of the strawberry extract is, alongside the lime oil, definitely the key note to both the smell and taste of this product. The jasmine absolute sits very mildly at the back of the smell, and along with the vanilla, simply pads out the aroma a little more.

In fact, without trying to diminish how much I enjoyed using this product, I will say that Strawberries & Clean has a very boring, generic smell. Given the unique fragrances that Lush are known for, the smell of this jelly pales in comparison, and to be fair it wouldn't be seen as strange to find similar smells within other brand's products. Having said all of that, this product is primarily a toothpaste and so isn't looking to win any awards for the complexity of its scent.

As soon as I began to brush, I was able to recognise the sweet and fruity strawberry taste within my mouth and around my teeth, although it wasn't particularly strong at the start or finish of my experience, and as I mentioned above, it was rather a simplistic taste. When in my mouth, this toothpaste jelly reminded me very much of the limited edition strawberry Wrigley's chewing gum that came out in the UK last year, for anybody that may have tried it themselves and can recognise the comparison.

The idea with all of these new tooth jellies is that you simply scoop your toothbrush across the top of the surface of the product and a small amount (or however much you wish to use) will rub off onto the bristles, and this is what you use to brush your teeth with. With all ten of these new jellies, I found that it was very easy to apply only the smallest of amount to my brush: I barely dented the surface at all to begin with, so these little 60g pots will last you a very long time. In fact, I would even say that they may outlast that of a regular-sized 200g tube of toothpaste.

Once I began brushing, I found that it 'lathered up' exactly like a regular toothpaste and at no point did I feel or experience any jelly pieces still in my mouth. The product dissolved very quickly and then worked exactly as you would hope a tooth paste would do so. Furthermore, I was able to spit the paste out multiple times and never once ran out of foam on my toothbrush. These jellies are super generous when it comes to how much foam they produce in your mouth, despite how little product you need to use. Whereas I would normally use a pea-sized amount of toothpaste, I was able to use a piece the size of a grain of rice and yet heed the same results.

What I would say is that as the product is self preserving, it's important to keep your toothbrush fairly dry when you run it across the product. Adding moisture of any kind to these naked cosmetics could reduce the shelf life of the jelly and may open up the possibility of bacteria multiplying over time. For this reason, it's also essential that the lid is left on so as not to attract any unwanted germs. Given that I can imagine one of these pots lasting me a good 3-4 months as a minimum, I certainly wouldn't want the paste exposed to any bacteria, if I can help it.

Once I had finished brushing my teeth, I was a little disappointed that I wasn't able to detect much more than just a mild taste of Strawberries & Clean. This is definitely a toothpaste for those who plan to eat pretty soon afterwards, as the smell and taste of this one doesn't last particularly long in your mouth. Having said that, my teeth did feel squeaky clean (which I think was thanks to the inclusion of the lime oil) and there was no trace of any food smells afterwards as well.

As I will say in all of my toothpaste jelly reviews, it was nice not to have to worry about any annoying lumps that some of Lush's toothy tabs can leave in your mouth during brushing. This little gem simply dissolved as soon as I started brushing and there wasn't any wastage from bits getting stuck in my teeth or falling out when I spat into the sink.

As with most of Lush's new toothpaste jellies, this one contains many key ingredients to actually help this product to act like a toothpaste. Hydrated silica works well as a whitening and teeth cleaning agent: helping to remove the stains from the surface of your teeth without damaging the enamel. Then there is xylitol, which is a natural sweetener that doesn't contain any fructose, so will help to protect your teeth from damage, and will hopefully help to reduce your risk of cavities over time.

While probably one of my least favourite variations of toothpaste jelly, this is for those who want to feel rebellious brushing their teeth with 'sweets', and for those who want a lighter, less potent tasting toothpaste. Strawberries & Clean definitely appealed to the children in me and I will continue to use this tub until it has been finished. However, there are many more interesting and also stronger variations that I would ultimately choose over using this one.

Quantitative Ingredients: Vanilla Pod Infusion (Vanilla planifolia), Sorbitol, Glycerine, Silica, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Xylitol, Lime Oil (Citrus aurantifolia), Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum grandiflorum), Rosewood Oil (Aniba rosaeodora), Strawberry Extract (Fragaria ananassa), Stevia (Stevia Rebaudiana), Agar Agar (Gelidium cartilagineum), Carrageenan Extract (Chondrus crispus), Menthol Crystals (Menthol), Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Citral, *Limonene, *Linalool, Flavour, Colour 77491, Colour 45430:1.

Quicksand FUN Bar

From an outside perspective, it's sometimes a little confusing when certain products get discontinued and others suddenly make an appearance, especially when you assume that these products are rather popular when they're obviously not selling very well. It confused me quite a lot when Lush took away both the Yuzu And Cocoa Bubbleroon and Shower Cream from their shelves, as I always thought that these were two of their biggest sellers.

When the company then brought out a Yuzu And Cocoa Liquid Perfume a few months later, and a Yuzu And Cocoa Body Lotion and Shower Jelly not long after, I couldn't for the life of me decide whether or not this product was actually just really popular as an exclusive, or whether Lush had underestimated how much negative feedback they would receive from removing the classic duo from their shops.

Either way, I was thrilled to learn that Quicksand FUN was scented with the same fragrance as the Yuzu And Cocoa range, and I couldn't wait to try it out for size. Not only did the format, design and fragrance intrigue me, but reading the description also had me interested in how a fun bar with actual sand in the ingredients list would work on my skin.

What I found with Quicksand was that first and foremost the Yuzu And Cocoa scent worked perfectly in this format. Both fruity and creamy, this Liverpool exclusive boasted all of the fruity properties that you would expect from any other product in this range.

A distinctive and rather difficult ingredient to describe, the yuzu is a Japanese fruit that has a scent not too far off of that of a grapefruit, albeit slightly more exotic and rounded smelling. Coupled with the grapefruit oil itself, these two add a wonderfully sweet fruity smell unlike anything else that Lush have made.

Alongside this, the cocoa absolute then gives that 'chocolate-orange' element that Lush describe: thickening the overall fragrance and adding a rich, creamy depth to the scent. Underneath this is a dash of tonka absolute that pads out the creamy bass note, while the bergamot oil adds a sweetness that compliments the other ingredients and rounds the FUN off beautifully.

Simply put: Quicksand FUN smells absolutely beautiful and very much like the warm, fruity dessert that we've come to recognise this smell as. Everything about the scent of this will have you salivating from the get-go and it's definitely on par with the likes of the bath bomb and the body lotion.
Not only does it smell divine, but it also happens to be super effective in the shower. This bar happens to be a little on the soft side so it definitely should be stored somewhere really cool between uses, and I'd definitely recommend that you only take a tiny piece with you into the shower each time as you really don't need a lot.

Alongside this, Quicksand boasts the addition of sand in the ingredients list, so this beautiful exclusive also offers a gentle exfoliation when it's being used. You can actually feel the little grains of sand getting to work at buffering and cleaning you skin, and you can feel the difference afterwards.

As soon as it comes into contact with the water, it lathers up and creates a thick, fragrant foam that coats your skin and leaves the scent lingering on your body. Much like a soap, the fragrance comes into full force when it reacts to the heat of the water and you really have to fight the urge not to munch on the bar whilst you're using it. I dare say at least one person has probably had a taste of this at some point and been sorely disappointed!
I will go as far as to say that this is even better than a shower cream as it lathers up a treat in the shower and produces a gorgeous, silky-soft mound of suds to clean yourself with. When you massage this across your skin, you can feel how instantly smooth it makes you feel and you can still detect the fragrance on your skin when you exit the bathroom, and for hours afterwards as well. It doesn't dry your skin out at all and the only thing that you may want to be careful with is applying too much at any one go. As it's quite a sticky product, you'll find that using too much at once will just create a messy paste in your hand, which is not a major problem, but does mean that the product is being wasted that this 'mess' will need to be used up instead of being stored for a later date.

Much like every other FUN bar, Quicksand can also be used instead of a bubble bar - held under a running tap to create a surplus amount of bubbles and a beautifully fragrant bath to enjoy. Again, this bar worked well in this way although it didn't produce as many bubbles as some of the other FUN bars have done so, perhaps because of its softer constancy. I cut a slice that probably equated to a sixth of the bar and this gave me more than enough bubbles, so this works out cheaper than a regular bubble bar.

While the product doesn't really create an exciting or colourful bath, the smell more than makes up for it and offers a relaxing and very comforting bath tub experience for all. Having said that, I would recommend that you use this in place of a shower gel as opposed to a bubble bar, as you get a much more rewarding experience this way and the product goes a lot further. Using it as a bubble bar will also leave a mild trace of the sand at the bottom of the tub, which may prove a little prickly to sensitive bottoms.

I'd probably go as far as to say that Quicksand FUN is one of my favourite inventions from Lush in a while, even if the bar itself is super sticky and almost like a sunken cake than a FUN bar. If you're a fan of the Yuzu And Cocoa scent, you will need to get your hands on one of these right away. This needs to be made a permanent for certain, otherwise I'll be trekking up to Liverpool myself, just to grab some of these in the future.

Quantitative Ingredients: Cornflour, Talc, Fine Sea Salt, Glycerine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sand, Cocoa Absolute, Bergamot Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Tonka Absolute, Cocoa Powder, Aloe Vera Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Gardenia Extract, Coumarin, Limonene, Linalool, Perfume.

Bongo Shower Jelly

While I was doing some research into the Liverpool exclusive products earlier this year, I found myself coming back to this particular jelly time and time again.  Not only were there many extremities when it came to the reviews I read, but there was also quite a big debate about similar it was to my favourite jelly, Big Calm.

When Bongo Shower Jelly finally arrived in my lap then, I couldn't wait to see what all of the fuss was about, and decide for myself where it stood compared to Big Calm. What I will say is that while I can recognise how these two products have been used to compare each other, I happen to think that they are very different.

The first time I removed the lid of this jelly and gave it a sniff, I didn't like it at all. There was something about the intensity of the mango that gave off a scent that reminded me of heavily-laced alcoholic cocktails. As someone who doesn't drink, this really didn't sit well with me and so the shower jelly took a back seat until I was ready to embrace it again.

From the tub, Bongo Shower Jelly offers a very strong combination of mango, vanilla and coconut milk. You can smell the strong, fruity note of the mango, and this is intertwined with the sweet but slightly burnt note of vanilla. Underneath both of these elements, the coconut milk acts as a creamy base from which the fruity components snuggle into when the jelly is being used under hot water.

In all fairness, there is something about this combination that does make the mango smell almost slightly pineapple-like, which is where I can then see where the comparisons have come from. However, this shower jelly is much more intoxicating and heavy on the senses, and perhaps a little too alluring for some Big Calm fans.

Strangely, Bongo works in the same manner as Big Calm. Firstly, the addition of the seaweed in the ingredients moisturises and conditions your skin wonderfully, whilst the mango juice infuses your skin with some much-needed vitamins to improve the condition of your skin. The coconut milk not only adds a creaminess to the overall smell of the shower jelly, but also helps hydrate and and replenish your skin with important electrolytes.

I only had to massage it over my skin for a few seconds to notice how smooth and velvety it made my skin look and feel. It instantly conditions your skin and leaves it feeling beautifully soft for the entirety of the day. You definitely don't need to use a body lotion after showering with this bad boy, which makes it fantastic value for money. As I said above, this scent is one of the strongest I've come across in a shower jelly and this wonderful aroma permeates your skin and leaves you smelling amazing for many hours after you have showered.

Bongo Shower Jelly has a rubbery and slightly rough texture in places but this doesn't effect the productivity of the product at all. In fact, its consistency means that you can use a lot less each time, making it better value for money than some of the other Lush jellies I have used in recent months.
Ultimately, this shower jelly is a beautiful addition to Lush's extensive range and I'm really grateful that Lush have created a completely different fragrance for us to enjoy. If you're looking for a summery scent; one that will clean and refresh your body and senses all at once, Bongo Shower Jelly is definitely the one you should opt for. What a wonderful addition to the Lush family!

Bronze FUN Bar

Back in 2014, Lush brought out a series of limited edition FUN Bars as part of a collection called 'mind the gap.' A few weeks prior they had released a handful of limited edition perfumes that didn't appear to have been filled to the very top,  so the company brought out these FUN Bars by way of apology. One of these limited editions was scented with the Yog Nog fragrance, which completely blew my mind and had me salivating each and every time I used it (sparingly) in the shower.

Fast forward to 2019 and Bronze FUN Bar hits the shelves of the Liverpool superstore as one of their in store exclusives, boasting the same Yog Nog aroma and looking super scrumptious to boot. I just knew I had to get my hands on a bar as soon as it was humanly possible, and thanks to an amazing person this dream came true far earlier than I had imagined it would.
This product is everything you could wish for if you're a fan of this fragrance. Made from a mixture of ylang ylang and clove bud oil, with a sprinkling of cocoa powder, Bronze FUN is a sweet, vanillary aroma intertwined with a delicious fudgy note alongside this. There's also a gentle note of nutmeg and clove, both of which you can detect but neither of which are particularly strong overall.

Simply put: Bronze FUN smells absolutely beautiful and very much like the warm, buttery dessert that we've come to recognise this smell as. Everything about the scent of this will have you salivating from the get-go, and it's definitely on par with the likes of the bath bomb and the body lotion.

I dare say at least one person has probably had a taste of this at some point!

I will go as far as to say that this is even better than a soap or a shower gel - it lathers up a treat in the shower and produces a gorgeous, silky-soft mound of suds to clean yourself with. When you massage this across your skin, you can feel how instantly smooth it makes you feel and you can still detect the fragrance on your skin when you exit the bathroom, and for hours afterwards as well. It doesn't dry your skin out at all and it's easier to use than a hard slab of soap.

Much like every other FUN bar, Yog Nog can also be used instead of a bubble bar - held under a running tap to create a surplus amount of bubbles and a beautifully fragrant bath to enjoy. Again, this bar worked well in this way although it didn't produce as many bubbles as some of the other FUN bars have done so, perhaps because of its softer constancy. Cookie Dough Body Scrub

Usually I could sit on my high horse and proclaim that it's very seldom that I ever truly indulge in something as decadent as a jar of cookie dough. I could honestly count the number of times I've eaten dessert over the last months, and that's all down to my training diet and focus on building muscle. However, my mental health hasn't been the best over this past week and I've eaten what equates to a whole jar of cookie dough EVERY SINGLE DAY by way of comfort.

To add to this experience, I decided to take Lush's brand new Cookie Dough Body Scrub into the shower with me as well and I found it very challenging not to scoff a large spoonful of that whilst I was washing myself. This is definitely one of Lush's most foodiest products ever, and I can imagine that many consumers have at least dabbled in giving this a little taste: even if they'd never admit it in public.

Containing a whole array of yummy ingredients, it's no wonder that this smells good enough to eat for many people. Vanilla absolute offers a strong, sweet note at the very top of these components, whilst the large helping of sugar to give the 'scrub' its consistency also adds an even stronger sweetness to the overall smell.

Underneath this, the almond oil, alongside the hazelnut and pistachio oils add a rich, nutty aroma that actually competes against the vanilla and almost overpowers the other notes trying to push through. Both the carob resinoid and the cocoa powder add their own gentle blend of chocolately goodness, whilst the gardenia extract finishes everything off with a subtle floral undertone.

What I should start by saying, as I did in my review of the Cookie Dough Lip Scrub, is that the smell of this doesn't remind me of cookie dough very much at all. Whilst delicious and very pudding-like, there is something a little too heavy about the smell of the toasted hazelnuts that gives this scrub a slightly unpleasant note every time I smell it. While it's not a big deal, there is just something present that doesn't sit well with me at all.

While it supposedly shares its scent with the aforementioned Lip Scrub, I will say that there are minor differences between the two. To my nose, the lip scrub is far lighter and sweeter overall, whereas the body scrub is much heavier in fragrance, and has quite a harsh scent. This body scrub has more of a thick, dark treacle-like, nutty aroma, whereas the sugar is far more prevalent in the lip scrub.

What I will say is that despite being called a body scrub, I wouldn't actually call his product a scrub at all. Instead, the consistency of the sugar and other key ingredients actually make something that resembles dough, or in the Lush world, we would see this more as being like the consistency of a facial cleanser.

Cookie Dough is quite sticky and paste-like to touch, and when you scoop a piece out to use across your skin, you'll find that when you massage it across your body, you'll really have to apply pressure in order for it to leave your fingers and transfer onto the body part you're 'scrubbing.'

Finally, I use the word scrubbing fairly lightly as you don't really get much of an exfoliation at all when using this limited edition product. Even when you work this onto your skin quite rigidly, it doesn't really scrub at all and instead you'll find that you'll gravitate towards kneading it into the skin as opposed to scrubbing to across the body.

Ultimately, once you've applied the product, it may also take a little lathering to remove it under the running water. However, this sticky consistency does mean that the fragrance of Cookie Dough sticks to you quite heavily. You'll be able to smell this product on you for hours, which is very pleasant indeed. Having said that, I cannot really comment on whether the product actually works all that well as a scrub as I don't really notice much of a difference before and after use.

As it lathers up a little when being applied, I have actually began using this more as a replacement for a shower gel, and my skin definitely feels rather clean afterwards. In all fairness, I have found that my bod feels smooth and moisturised after I've done this, so there are definitely merits to using this little treat in the shower or bath.

Overall, I can see why many consumers have fallen in love with this product, as the smell is very pleasant; the texture really does make you think you're enjoying a pudding; and your skin does feel really wonderful afterwards. However, there is still something off-putting to my nose when it comes to Cookie Dough, and it is definitely NOT a scrub by any means.
